Samsung has launched the
Gear S2 in
India, with the smartwatch set to go on sale starting later today at Samsung
retail stores around the country. The Tizen-based smartwatch is priced at
₹24,300 ($367), and buyers in the country will also be able to get their hands
on the Gear S2 Classic edition, which will retail for ₹25,800 ($390).
For those looking to buy the Gear S2 online, Samsung has mentioned that it
will offer the smartwatch exclusively on Flipkart. The manufacturer is offering
watch faces with Indian themes to mark the launch of the smartwatch in the
country.
Samsung also launched the
Gear VR in
India for ₹8,200 ($123), and the VR headset will also be exclusively offered
via Flipkart. The Gear VR pairs with the latest Galaxy phones, such as the
Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, as well as the
recently announced dual-SIM edition of the Note 5.
The Gear S2 is currently discounted to ₹22,500, with the Classic edition
